Rustic Thick Cow Leather is a great alternative for non-traditional book making. Scars, blemishes, and even branding marks are characteristics found on these leathers.  

The Grey Beastie was the most popular of all our Rustic Cow Leathers, but was discontinued and we only have smaller pieces left. We have them available in two sizes. One size is approximately 7 1/2" x 15". These pieces are .75 square feet and have three straight edges and an irregular fore edge, as shown.  It is ideally suited for making journals with a wrap around cover. (Can be used with our medium text blocks or signatures - will need to trim leather slightly.) 

The other piece is roughly between .5 and .75 square feet. These pieces are more irregular in shape. If specific dimensions are required for this size, please include those measurements in the comments box during the checkout process. 

The thickness is approximately 3/32" (2.5 mm) which makes it suitable for sturdy leather wrap journals and other items that require a thicker leather. These durable leathers have a matte finish and are dyed throughout the thickness.
