This light duty awl will punch holes that are just large enough to sew through signatures.  The awl utilizes a comfortable 3-sided plastic handle, and has a matching fitted cap that easily snaps on and off. The plastic handle was created on a 3-D printer. The material is a PLA (Polylactide) a thermoplastic which is biodegradable and comes from renewable resources such as corn and sugar cane. It is currently available in 9 different colors.

 

Note: Do not use this awl with a hammer or to pierce through book board.  An affordable, sewing cradle, using the same materials, for piercing holes in signatures is also offered on our website.
