Cow leather is a popular leather for both traditional and non-traditional bookbinding and is an excellent alternative to goat leather. Imported from Italy, the hides are high quality and noted for their durability as well as tanning consistency. Our Italian leathers are virtually blemish free.

Most leathers have been cut to an average size of approximately 5 square feet and prices are based on the current price per square foot. The cost listed on our website is an approximation. We will adjust the price on your order, depending on the exact size we have in stock, and contact you only if there is a price difference of greater than 10%. We recommend you order a Fine Cow Leather sample card for exact colors, thickness, and texture.  Note: smaller pieces are only available if currently in stock.
