Rustic Thick Cow Leather is a great alternative for non-traditional book making. Scars, blemishes, and even branding marks may be found on these leathers. (Often the scratches can be rubbed out using the palm of your hand.)
All of them preserve the natural grain and condition in which they were produced. Their thickness is approximately 3/32" (2.5 mm) which make them suitable for sturdy leather wrap journals. The leathers are durable with a matte finish and are aniline dyed throughout the thickness.
The rustic leathers have been pre-cut to approximately 3.5 square feet. The price on the website indicates the cost of an average skin size at $11.50 per square foot.
Note: Because we can not guarantee the dye lots of our rustic leathers, we do not offer samples. The colors and character seen on the website are usually fairly close, but the actual leather you receive may be slightly different.
