Siegel Historic Smooth goat leathers are high quality, versatile, and economically priced. The authentic grain pattern is considered smooth (no grain manipulation) which gives them more of a rustic look, similar to calf or kangaroo leather. Some of these leathers may exhibit some minor scuffs or markings. This leather is split to approximately .65 mm with no loss in strength, meaning very little or no paring is required. They are popular for both fine bindings as well as book repair. These goat leathers are 100% vegetable tanned and readily accept blind tooling and gold stamping.
Our goat leather prices are based on the price per square foot and the cost listed on our website is only an approximation. The price will be adjusted on your order depending on the exact size we have in stock. We will contact you if there is a price difference of greater than 10%.
