Arrestox bookcloth is a 100% cotton material with a subtle, water based acrylic coating that makes it resistant to abrasion, stains, moisture, mildew, and tearing. It has long been considered a high quality and traditional bookcloth used for bookbinding. It works well with PVA and other traditional glues. Arrestox comes in either a Linen (or slightly textured) finish or a Vellum (or smooth) finish and those are listed in the description below. We recommend you order our Arrestox sample books for exact colors and textures.
